Photo booth apps with QR code sharing

Photo booth app with QR code sharing: which vendors list QR delivery, which plan it sits on, sharing station costs, and what MoveBooth states.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerLumaBooth, Simple Booth, Breeze Booth, Touchpix, Fiesta, Booth.Events, Foto Master and Snappic all list QR code sharing in their own documentation, though not always on the entry plan. MoveBooth's pages disagree with each other about QR, so treat QR delivery in MoveBooth as unconfirmed. Its stated methods are email and SMS.

How a photo booth app with QR code sharing works

After the photo is taken, the booth shows a QR code on screen or on a second device. The guest scans it with a phone camera and lands on a page with the photo. Nobody types an email address or phone number. Simple Booth, for one, can embed the code in the printed layout so the paper copy leads to the digital one.

That is the appeal: it is quick and it avoids typing mistakes. The trade is that a scan alone gives the host no contact details, which matters if the booth is there to collect leads.

What each vendor's documentation says about QR

Statements as read on each vendor's own pages on 3 October 2026. Nothing here was tested.

• LumaBooth: lists QR code among built-in sharing options, with email, SMS, Instagram, WhatsApp and AirDrop.
  • Simple Booth: lists QR code delivery from the Core plan, and dynamic QR codes embedded in the layout from Plus.
  • Breeze Booth: lists QR code sharing via Breeze Cloud.
  • Touchpix: its site describes scanning a QR code to download photos directly.
  • Fiesta: lists unlimited email, SMS, QR and AirDrop on both plans.
  • Booth.Events: lists QR with email, SMS and AirDrop.
  • Foto Master: lists QR to branded mini-sites.
  • Snappic: SmartShare is described as QR-linked guest galleries. It is not on the Starter plan. The plan table read today lists it as a paid add-on on Business and as included on higher plans. Check the current table.

What MoveBooth states, and why it is unclear

MoveBooth's pricing page lists email and SMS photo delivery on all plans. Its home page says its approach uses no QR codes. One help-center article from March 2026 says guests can still get a photo by QR code when lead capture is turned off. That article is marked as auto-generated, and it conflicts with the marketing pages.

So the honest position is this: QR photo delivery in MoveBooth is not confirmed. If QR is a requirement, ask MoveBooth's team before subscribing, or choose an app that lists it plainly. Separately, MoveBooth does use a one-time QR code for operator login on the iPad, which is not a guest feature. The MoveBooth feature list covers what is confirmed.

Sharing stations: a second screen for the queue

A sharing station is a separate tablet or phone where guests collect photos, so the booth itself stays free for the next group. Prices as read on 3 October 2026, and they can change.

  • LumaShare: $7.99/month.
  • Foto Master FMShare: $9/month per device, billed annually.
  • Curator Live: the Event Pro plan ($59/event, $149/month or $1,499/year) includes a sharing station and slideshow license.

What needs internet and what does not

A QR code that links to a cloud gallery needs the booth to upload the photo and the guest's phone to load it. On weak venue Wi-Fi that can stall. Touchpix describes built-in internet-free sharing for iOS and Android devices. The other vendors' pages do not say whether their QR route works without a connection. Ask the vendor how the code behaves when the upload is delayed, and test it on mobile data before the event. The guide to offline booth apps has the detail by vendor.

Choosing between QR and a contact form

For a wedding or party, QR is the low-effort choice, and LumaBooth or Simple Booth are reasonable places to start. For a trade show where the point is a follow-up list, a form that asks for email before delivery does the job a QR scan cannot. That is the case MoveBooth Plus and Pro are built for, with leads exported as CSV only. See the Simple Booth and LumaBooth comparison if QR is the priority.

You can also offer both. Most of the apps listed above include several delivery methods on the same plan, so pairing a QR code with email or text is a settings choice, not a second purchase.
