MoveBooth features: what is included, what is unclear and what is missing

A walk through MoveBooth features: capture modes, branding, sharing, lead capture and dashboard, plus the features it does not have and plan notes.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerMoveBooth captures stills, GIFs and boomerangs on an iPad, delivers them by email or SMS, carries your branding and, on Plus and Pro, collects leads for CSV export. It has no printing, DSLR support, 360 video, slow-motion or green screen, and no AI photo features are listed in its plan tables.

MoveBooth features in brief

MoveBooth features fall into five groups: capture, branding, sharing, lead capture and remote management. The list is short by design. The vendor positions the app for business lead generation and says openly that it leaves out entertainment extras.

Everything below comes from the vendor's pricing, FAQ, app and help pages as read on 3 October 2026. This site has not used the app.

Capture modes and image styles

All plans include still photos, GIFs and boomerangs. The GIF is a classic 4-frame GIF. Image styles are limited to normal, black and white, or a 3D glitch style.

Each channel has one capture mode. To offer several modes at one event you create several channels and switch between them on the iPad, which needs a working internet connection.

Video is unclear. A help article from March 2026 lists five modes including video, while the FAQ and pricing page name three formats. Until the vendor's pages agree, do not buy MoveBooth for video.

Branding, overlays and templates

The start screen, app background, overlay and online gallery carry your branding. Lite allows a custom logo and one image overlay. From Plus, guests can choose from unlimited overlays. The help center says overlay files must be PNG and exactly 960 by 1280 pixels.

Built-in templates exist for unbranded or personal events. MoveBooth calls its branding white-label, but whether any MoveBooth mark remains in the app, emails or gallery address is not clearly stated on the vendor's pages.

Sharing, galleries and offline use

Guests receive their photo by email or SMS text message, unlimited on every plan. Photos are delivered as a web link, and the FAQ notes that anyone who has a photo's direct link can open it. Each channel gets an online gallery with its own URL, optional password protection and a custom logo. Operators can bulk-download event photos, and the help center says photos are retained as long as your account is active. Sharing to social networks appears only in a 2023 help article, so it is unconfirmed as a current feature.

QR-code delivery is described in one help article, but the homepage says there are no QR codes, so we treat it as unconfirmed. If QR sharing matters, see booth apps with QR sharing. Offline mode is on all plans, and the conditions are in our offline booth guide.

Lead capture, dashboard and analytics

Lead capture is the reason to pick MoveBooth, and it is not on Lite. Plus collects name, email and phone. Pro adds ZIP code and date of birth. Contacts download as CSV. The lead capture page goes through fields, export and consent.

Branding, overlays, form fields and delivery copy are managed from a cloud dashboard, and the FAQ says changes push to the app in real time. How much of the guest message you can edit depends on the plan: Plus opens email subject lines, and Pro opens the full email copy, the SMS copy and the gallery heading. Support is a knowledge base and chat on every plan, with priority support on Pro.

The homepage describes a real-time dashboard reporting impressions, capture rates, shares and contacts. The FAQ attributes advanced analytics to Pro, but the pricing table has no analytics row, so confirm what your plan shows before you promise a client a report.
