MoveBooth free trial: length, requirements and what to test

How the MoveBooth free trial works: 7 days, payment method required, TestFlight install, plus a checklist of what to test before you are charged.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerMoveBooth offers a 7-day free trial on every software plan. A payment method is required and the trial converts to a paid plan unless you cancel. The app installs through Apple TestFlight from a link the team sends. Kiosk buyers get a 30-day Pro trial with no payment method required.
MoveBooth is likely to fit when

✓ iPad booths at trade shows and brand events

✓ Collecting names and emails from guests

✓ Digital sharing instead of prints

✓ Teams that want a monthly plan with a trial

Important limitations

— Printed photo strips

— DSLR, 360 or green screen booths

— Windows or Android hardware

— Buyers who need independent reviews first

MoveBooth free trial: seven days, payment method required

The MoveBooth free trial lasts 7 days and is available on Lite, Plus and Pro. You must add a payment method to start, and the trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel first.

There is a second route. Buying the kiosk hardware includes a 30-day Pro trial that does not require a payment method. There is no permanent free tier on the pricing page. If you need a booth app that costs nothing, see free iPad photo booth options.

What you need before you start

Have these ready before the clock starts, because seven days is short. Pick the plan you expect to buy. Lite has no lead capture, so a Lite trial cannot show you the form or the CSV export.

  • An iPad. The app works on any iPad; the minimum iPadOS version is not published
  • A payment method for the plan you choose
  • A MoveBooth account with a verified email address, which is needed before you can log in on the iPad
  • The TestFlight install link from the MoveBooth team
  • A stand or mount, if you want to test at booth height

How TestFlight distribution works

MoveBooth is not on the public App Store. The FAQ says it is currently distributed through Apple's TestFlight while an App Store release is prepared. TestFlight is Apple's system for sharing beta builds. Apple's developer page says testers use the TestFlight app to view an invite and install the beta.

In practice you contact the team through the Contact page, they send an install link, and you install TestFlight and then the MoveBooth app on the iPad. The help center says an active software license is required to use the app. The pages read do not say whether to request the link before or after starting the trial, so ask when you make contact to avoid losing trial days.

One known side effect: TestFlight builds can expire. The help center describes a beta-expired alert that is fixed by updating the app manually over Wi-Fi.

What to test during the trial

This site has not tested MoveBooth, and no independent user reviews were found, so your trial is the main evidence you will get. Work through this list in the first few days.

  • Create a channel with your own logo and overlay and check it on the iPad
  • Run a test session and time how long the email and the text message take to arrive
  • On Plus or Pro, fill in the lead form, then download the CSV and import it into your CRM
  • Turn Wi-Fi off mid-session and confirm queued photos send once it is back
  • Switch between two channels to see how an event with several capture modes would run
  • Send a question through chat support and note the response time

Cancelling before you are charged

Cancelling during a free trial ends the trial and your access immediately, with no charge. So you cannot cancel on day one and keep testing. Finish your checks first, then cancel if it is not a fit. Once a paid subscription is active it is non-refundable, and it renews automatically until cancelled.

Cancel from the billing portal. Do not use account deletion for this: the terms describe deleting the account as a separate action that is immediate and irreversible.

How the trial compares with other booth apps

A 7-day trial that needs a payment method is on the strict side. As read on 3 October 2026, Snappic lists a 14-day free trial with no card, and Simple Booth lists a 7-day free trial with no credit card, though with a cap of 15 photo uploads per day. Terms can change.

The limitation to keep in mind is time. One week may not include a real event, so plan a mock session at your office. For what happens after the trial, see what each paid plan costs, and for the setup order see the step-by-step setup guide.

This guide draws on MoveBooth pricing page, MoveBooth iPad Photo Booth kiosk product page, MoveBooth photo booth software comparison page, MoveBooth FAQ. Merchant-controlled records describe the provider’s own capabilities, terms or standards; they do not independently validate those claims. Other cited records provide additional context.
