Side-by-side comparison

MoveBooth vs Snappic: lead capture on an iPad against a full effects suite

MoveBooth vs Snappic compared on price, capture modes, sharing, data capture and hardware, with a clear note on which operator each one suits.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerPick Snappic if you sell 360 video, AI effects, printing or camera-based booths. 360, video and AI effects start on its Business plan. Pick MoveBooth if the job is one iPad collecting names, emails and phone numbers at a trade show and a CSV file is enough. This is based on vendor pages, not hands-on use.
MoveBooth is likely to fit when

✓ iPad booths at trade shows and brand events

✓ Collecting names and emails from guests

✓ Digital sharing instead of prints

✓ Teams that want a monthly plan with a trial

Important limitations

— Printed photo strips

— DSLR, 360 or green screen booths

— Windows or Android hardware

— Buyers who need independent reviews first

MoveBooth vs Snappic: the short answer

These two products overlap less than the names suggest. MoveBooth describes itself as an iPad photo booth for event lead capture. Snappic is a broader platform for professional operators on Apple hardware, with 360 video, AI effects, robot-arm and mirror booth types.

MoveBooth's own comparison page concedes that Snappic is the better pick when 360 video is core to the offer. We agree with that reading of the two feature lists. We have not used either product at an event, so everything here comes from the vendors' published pages.

What each plan costs per month

Prices below are in US dollars as read on 3 October 2026. Vendors change prices, so check the live pricing pages before you commit. Our MoveBooth plan breakdown covers annual billing and hardware in more detail.

  • MoveBooth Lite: $49.99 per month, stills, GIFs and boomerangs, no lead capture.
  • MoveBooth Plus: $149.99 per month, adds lead capture of name, email and phone plus CSV download.
  • MoveBooth Pro: $249.99 per month, adds ZIP code and date of birth fields and custom email, SMS and gallery copy.
  • Snappic Starter: $69 per month, still, GIF and burst or boomerang capture.
  • Snappic Business: $189 per month, adds video effects, AI effects, 360 booth, custom surveys and data capture.
  • Snappic Premium: $279 per month, adds white-label options and remote control.
  • Snappic Scale: $399 per month, sold with a consultation and setup instead of a self-serve trial.

Capture modes and hardware each one supports

MoveBooth lists three capture formats on every plan: still photos, GIFs and boomerangs. It runs on an iPad and uses the iPad camera. The vendor states plainly that it does not do 360 video, slow-motion, green screen, printing or DSLR support.

Snappic runs on iPad, iPhone and Mac, and lists DSLR and GoPro integration. Its pricing page lists wired printing and a wireless print server, green screen as a paid per-event add-on on Starter, and AI background removal from Business with credits. No Windows or Android booth app is stated. Operators who need those systems should read our wider software shortlist instead.

Lead capture and what happens to the data

Both products keep contact collection off the cheapest plan. MoveBooth starts it on Plus, where fields can be set as required or optional. Snappic lists custom surveys and data capture from Business.

The difference is what comes next. MoveBooth has no native CRM or API integrations at any tier and no Zapier link; leads leave as a CSV file. Snappic lists webhooks as a paid add-on on Business and as included on Premium and Scale, and client analytics from Business. If your sales team needs leads pushed into another system automatically, that points to Snappic. If someone will import a spreadsheet after the show anyway, MoveBooth's approach is enough. Our guide to lead capture at the booth explains the questions to ask either vendor.

Trials, sharing and getting the app

Snappic offers a 14-day free trial with no card on its three self-serve plans. MoveBooth's software trial is 7 days, requires a payment method, and converts to a paid plan unless you cancel.

Both deliver photos by email and SMS, and both say capture keeps running through a connection drop with delivery queued. Snappic adds QR guest galleries under the name SmartShare, as a paid add-on on Business and included on higher plans.

Snappic Booth is on the Apple App Store, where it showed 4.5 out of 5 from 101 ratings on the read date. MoveBooth is not on the public App Store. It is distributed through Apple's TestFlight and the team sends an install link on request. We found no independent reviews of MoveBooth.

Who should choose MoveBooth and who should choose Snappic

Neither product is the right answer for every operator. The choice follows the kind of event you sell.

  • Choose Snappic if 360 video, AI effects, printing, DSLR capture or roaming and mirror booths are part of what clients book.
  • Choose Snappic if leads must flow to other software through webhooks, or if you want to try the product without entering a card.
  • Choose MoveBooth if you run one iPad at brand activations or trade shows and the goal is a clean list of contacts.
  • Choose MoveBooth if stills, GIFs and boomerangs cover your events and you would rather not pay for effects you will not use.
  • Choose neither if you need a Windows or Android booth; both are tied to Apple devices.
