Best photo booth software for iPad: a shortlist by job

The best photo booth software for iPad sorted by job: low cost, occasional use, 360 and AI, printing and lead capture, with published prices.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerNo single iPad booth app is best for every job. LumaBooth has the lowest published monthly price and a long mode list. Simple Booth suits occasional use with weekly billing. Snappic suits 360 and AI work. MoveBooth suits lead capture at branded events, but it does not print.

The best photo booth software for iPad depends on the job

Start with the output you need, then look at price. An app that is right for a wedding with prints is a different app from one that collects contacts at a trade show booth.

For the lowest published price, look at LumaBooth. For a booth you run a few weekends a year, look at Simple Booth, which sells by the week. For 360 video and AI effects, look at Snappic or Booth.Events. For deep control of the guest screens, look at Breeze Booth. For turning guest photos into a contact list, look at MoveBooth.

Two things narrow the field quickly. Simple Booth and MoveBooth run on iPad only, while LumaBooth, Snappic, Breeze Booth, Curator Live and Booth.Events also list iPhone. If you hire the booth out, licensing matters as much as features: some plans cover two devices, others charge for each one.

How this shortlist was put together

Every app here was judged on its vendor's published plan table and documentation, read on 3 October 2026. Nothing was tested hands-on. That means this page can tell you what each vendor says its app does and what it charges. It cannot tell you which app takes the sharpest photo or which one is quickest to learn.

The criteria were: runs on iPad, entry price, capture modes, sharing options, printing, data capture, and how the plan is billed. Where a vendor's page was silent on a point, this page says so instead of guessing.

Published entry prices for iPad booth apps

These are the entry prices as read on 3 October 2026. Prices can change, so confirm on the vendor's page before you buy.

  • LumaBooth for Apple: $19.99/month, or $18/month billed annually, with the first two devices included.
  • Simple Booth: Lite at $15/week through the App Store; Core at $24/week, $49/month or $490/year.
  • Touchpix PhotoPass: $22/month billed annually ($263.94), limited to 2 active events.
  • Breeze Booth: $49/month or $499/year per device.
  • MoveBooth Lite: $49.99/month or $499.99/year, one active iPad booth per license.
  • Snappic Starter: $69/month, with 20% off on annual billing.
  • Curator Live Standard: $29/event, $69/month or $499/year.
  • Booth.Events: plan prices load by script and could not be read.

Picks by kind of user

These picks follow from the plan tables, not from scoring.

  • Tightest budget: LumaBooth. Its vendor lists photo, video, GIF, slow-mo, 360, boomerang and green screen.
  • A few events a year: Simple Booth weekly plans, or Curator Live per-event pricing.
  • 360 and AI effects: Snappic from the Business plan ($189/month), or Booth.Events, which lists a 360 spinner on all plans.
  • Custom screens and offline work: Breeze Booth.
  • Prints: see iPad apps that support printers.
  • Contact capture at brand events: MoveBooth Plus or Pro.

Where MoveBooth fits and where it does not

MoveBooth calls itself iPad-only software built for B2B lead generation. All plans include still photos, GIFs and boomerangs, email and SMS delivery, and unlimited events. Lead capture starts on Plus at $149.99/month.

Its limits are plain. MoveBooth's own comparison page lists what it does not do: 360 video, slow-motion, green screen, printing and DSLR support. The app is distributed through Apple's TestFlight, not the public App Store. No independent reviews were found. If any of those rule it out, the MoveBooth alternatives page lists other options.

What to check before paying for any of them

Run the free trial on the exact iPad you will use. Check whether the plan is priced per device, per event or per account. Check which plan holds the one feature you need, because video, AI and data capture often sit above the entry tier. The guide to free iPad booth apps lists each trial and its limits.

Billing terms differ more than the feature lists do. Only annually billed Touchpix rates could be confirmed. Snappic's Starter plan leaves out video, AI and 360. Simple Booth holds data capture forms back until Pro at $149/month. MoveBooth holds lead capture back until Plus. A home user who wants a booth for one evening should read the party app guide instead, since most of these plans are aimed at people who hire booths out.
