What is MoveBooth: an iPad photo booth for event lead capture
MoveBooth is photo booth software for the iPad, sold with optional kiosk hardware. The company describes it as an iPad photo booth for event lead capture. A guest takes a photo, GIF or boomerang on the iPad, then gets it by email or text message. On the Plus and Pro plans the booth also collects the guest's contact details, and the event team downloads those contacts afterward.
The vendor aims it at brand activations, corporate events and trade shows. Its own comparison page calls it iPad-only software built for B2B lead generation. That focus explains most of what it includes and most of what it leaves out.
Who makes MoveBooth
The maker is Movebooth, LLC, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida. The contact page lists a mailing address there, and the terms of service are governed by Florida law. The About page does not publish a founding year or founder names. The oldest dated help-centre article seen is from November 16, 2017, which suggests the product has existed since at least then. That is an inference from one article date, not a stated fact.
The company claims more than 1,000,000 images served and names several large brands as customers. Those are vendor statements and were not independently verified. Our full MoveBooth review covers the company checks in more detail.
The three ways to buy MoveBooth
MoveBooth is sold three ways: subscribe to the software, buy the kiosk, or rent a kit. Prices below are as read on 3 October 2026 and can change.
The app also works on any iPad without MoveBooth hardware, using any stand or mount. Kiosk and rental shipments go to the lower 48 US states only. See MoveBooth plans and prices for what each tier includes.
- Software subscription: Lite $49.99, Plus $149.99 or Pro $249.99 per month, each covering one active iPad booth
- Kiosk purchase: $2,499 one time for the stand, LED ring head, faceplates and flight case, iPad not included
- Rental kit: from $399 per day on the Lite tier, with a pre-installed iPad, booked at least 10 days ahead
How a MoveBooth event is organized
Each event is set up as a channel in a cloud dashboard. Branding, overlays, form fields and delivery copy are managed there and sync to the iPad. Each channel uses one capture mode, so an event that wants both photos and GIFs needs two channels.
Every channel has an online gallery with its own URL, and operators can bulk-download the photos. Offline mode is listed on all plans: capture continues and delivery is queued until the connection returns. The help center adds that the booth must have been online before the connection drops.
What MoveBooth does not do
MoveBooth's own comparison page lists what it leaves out: 360 video, slow-motion, green screen, printing and DSLR support. Other limits appear across its pages.
- iPad only: no iPhone, Android or Windows version is mentioned on any page read
- No printing or print layouts, and no printers are supported
- No DSLR or mirrorless camera support; it uses the iPad camera
- No green screen, AI background removal or background blur at any tier
- No native CRM or API integrations; leads leave as a CSV file on Plus and Pro
- Not on the public App Store; the app is distributed through Apple TestFlight
Who MoveBooth suits and who should look elsewhere
MoveBooth fits a marketing team or operator who wants a branded iPad booth that collects contacts at business events, and who is content with digital delivery. It is a weak fit for weddings and parties where guests expect prints, and for operators who sell 360 or DSLR setups. No independent user reviews of MoveBooth were found, and this site has not tested the app, so use the trial before committing.
